He now runs the company with his son, also named Alfredo, and together they create popular leather jackets for men. His nickname precedes him! Alfredo Rifugio is not called the ‘King of Leather Jackets’ for nothing.
Over time, the brand became a staple of men's fashion, with its clothing being appreciated and revered by many. A special honour was bestowed upon the label and Alfredo Rifugio when Pope John Paul II commissioned a jacket, later known as the 'White Jewel', which he wore for skiing and hiking.
