The brand stands for luxurious Italian knitwear, crafted in the idyllic surroundings of Lake Trasimeno in Umbria, using over 40 years of experience in selecting the finest natural yarns and applying traditional craftsmanship. What began in 1978 with a single sewing machine has grown into a label of international renown – and since 2015, it has been part of Cesare Attolini for men, deepening its roots in the Neapolitan tailoring tradition.
Where Quality Matters
Every Fioroni garment for men is shaped by artisan precision and deep material knowledge. Experienced knitters transform technical designs into perfectly fitted prototypes, tailored precisely to each fibre’s unique characteristics. Fioroni was among the first Italian brands to introduce the "Italian Textile Fashion" certification – ensuring full traceability from raw material selection to the final product. All steps are regularly inspected and verified by the Italian Chamber of Commerce.
Fioroni Cashmere: Duvet Fulling
Fioroni’s unique Duvet Fulling process exemplifies the expertise behind its men’s cashmere knitwear. This includes:
- A specially modified knitting process that produces an especially dense structure – more yarn per surface area, resulting in a garment of greater weight and substance.
- An extended wash cycle of around 50 minutes in water from Lake Trasimeno – significantly longer than standard treatments.
- The lake's mineral-rich water, high in iron content, causes the cashmere fibres to "bloom", making them incredibly soft and compact.
- The result is a garment with a distinctively rich hand feel – completely pilling-free and remarkably durable.
From Fibre to Masterpiece
Once the fine underfleece of the cashmere goat is spun into yarn – in either Italy or Scotland – each garment is crafted either on traditional hand looms or high-precision machines. The seams are hand-linked using the same yarn, particularly at high-stress points like collars and shoulders, ensuring both strength and aesthetic refinement. Every piece is then hand-shaped and measured to exact standards. Only those that meet Fioroni's exacting requirements receive the label's mark – a promise of lasting shape, superb quality, and understated elegance.
