Dreams of cashmere: Hamburg duo Glenda Scipio and Stephan Fahning made them come true in 2009 when they founded their knitwear label Stephan Boya. They made these dreams a reality for all of us so that we can revel in the luxurious softness of their creations. Because for Stephan Boya, feeling good is about more than just the comfort of its smooth cashmere knitwear. The brand is also committed to sustainability and fairness. The label exclusively produces its garments in a production facility in Nepal where the knitwear is made under fair working conditions and according to strict animal welfare and environmental standards. Scipio and Fahning visit the facility several times a year to satisfy themselves about the conditions in the family firm.
Both entrepreneurs initially started with ladies' collections. But when Stephan Fahning kept getting asked for the individual men's pieces that were made especially for him, it became clear that the time had come for a men’s collection, which was initially only presented as a limited edition in their first store on Sylt. The success proved the duo right and Stephan Boya has since opened another store in Munich.
