President's: Authentic Menswear from Tuscany
Italian-based President's enhances the fashion world with contemporary menswear. Modern, yet at the same time durable, the inimitable men's fashion by President's easily bridges the gap between traditional values and contemporary styles. Guido Biondi reinvented the President's brand that was established over sixty years ago. Even though his grandfather presented Italy's first blue jeans under the label in 1952, Biondi still managed to give President's a new identity in 2010. He never fails to be inspired by Tuscany's multifarious landscape, from the sea to the mountains. Because of its authenticity – the picturesque setting, but also the many small artisan tailor's studios – Biondi feels a strong connection to his home and incorporates its colours, like green, brown, orange and purple, directly into his collections, along with historical buildings or local flora and fauna that appear as prints on his jumpers and sweat jackets. Premium materials, some in hand-knitted fabric or made of recycled and therefore sustainable cashmere, and intricate embroidery, convincingly round off the implementation of the brand's philosophy and demonstrate creativity and a sense of style. A line of jumpers from President's that were embroidered with multi-coloured thread on an original embroidery machine from the 1950s are a successful example of how the brand forges the link between local heritage and contemporary fashion. The collection proved so popular among style-conscious men that it sold out within a very short time.
