Stationed in Anchorage, Alaska, the "Parajumpers" (PJs) are an elite group of highly qualified and courageous men and women, entrusted with the honourable mission to save the lives of those in seemingly hopeless situations. This ... group of exceptional people was the inspiration for Massimo Rossetti, who can look back on many years of experience as a fashion designer and importer of US-American labels for the Italian market. The Parajumpers project and the idea to create a masterpiece were the fruit of a collaboration between Ape and Massimo Rossetti. The result is an extremely innovative outdoor collection, which is set apart from the rest by its high-tech elements, the use of robust nylon fibres, and its superior functionality. The collar is closed with a type of hook used in skydiving. Parajumpers shot to fame as one of the leading labels on the back of their classics "Kodiak", "Long Bear", "Gobi", and the down gilet "Bear Vest". More Less

Men’s outdoor fashion from Parajumpers

The brand was originally created as a joint venture between the company Ape and Massimo Rossetti, fashion designer, sportswear guru, and importer of American brands for the Italian market. Many years of experience in both areas laid the foundation for this successful project, especially the fantastic combination of experience gained in renowned high-fashion houses like Valentino and Versace, and in the world of sporty and functional fashion with companies like Vans and Canada Goose. The more than 70-year-old had already planned his well-deserved retirement, but as it goes when you have a passion for your job, his retirement was put on hold when he met a member of the rescue service "210th Rescue Squadron”; the so-called Parajumpers parachuting team or PJs for short based in Anchorage, Alaska. We are over-joyed, as we have been profiting from the eponymous label's highly functional yet stylish jackets that were born out of this inspiring meeting in 2005. Parajumpers. The highly qualified, fearless troupe leads extreme rescue and salvage missions in some of the most remote, rough and hard terrains all over the world. If they are heading out to sea to a ship in distress, a submarine, or if staying on dry land making their way to a stranded mountain climber, the PJs are always ready for their next risky journey. It is nothing for the faint-hearted and these innovative and robust jackets were developed to meet their level of strength and tough character.

The Parajumpers jackets named after the PJs rescue missions, like ‘Gobi’ or ‘Kodiak’ are classically made of tough and durable nylon with removable lining and a hood that is usually trimmed with warm fur. The collar has an optional karabiner closure inspired by parachuting, the trademark signature item of the label. Style elements like cargo-style zip pockets on the outside and inside of the jackets are practical and well-designed details. The high-quality materials offer the best protection against wetness and cold, and their highly detailed finish makes them windproof - the ideal jackets for the cold season.

Was bedeutet 'Organic Cotton'?

Was bedeutet 'Eco Cashmere'?

The Oyster Capsule Collection

Why did we name our luxury collection 'Oyster'? It is the inspiring yet very natural specialness of the valuable Sylt oyster in the seabed. This natural originality also defines the jumpers, accessories and trousers from the 'Oyster' collection. We have provided a key piece from each product group with luxurious details down to the smallest element, with fine cashmere or precious mother-of-pearl – from the Sylt oyster, of course.

What does Organic Cotton mean?

Organic cotton is grown from natural, non-GMO seeds and does not contain any pesticides. Not only is this more comfortable for the skin, but organic cotton also lasts longer than conventional cotton, thanks to its high quality. Since nature inspires us to create our styles, its preservation is especially close to our hearts. The use of organic cotton is one of the ways in which we do our bit to ensure sustainable production.

What does Eco Cashmere mean?

A second life for one of the world's finest natural fibres: the high quality of fine cashmere is predestined to be recycled and thus to reduce waste. For the eco-cashmere we use, pre-owned cashmere is carefully sorted, processed and, together with newly obtained fibres, spun into luxurious knitting yarn. We work exclusively with spinning mills in Italy, saving on transport and CO2 emissions – just one of the high standards of our own sustainability philosophy.
