One shoe manufacturer and a lot of passion: When Giuseppe Baracco founded his tailor's studio in 1932, three or four shoemakers made two pairs of shoes a day. The Henderson brand began to grow in the 1950s when Gino, Baracco’s nephew, joined the business and expanded distribution to the whole of Northern Italy. Together with his aunt Margit, he made far-reaching decisions, such as changing the name of the label to Henderson, which was perfect for the international market. Gino’s sons Gianluigi and Enrico have since taken over the management: Even though the studio has been expanded and the number of staff has grown, Henderson is still synonymous with outstanding, handmade lace-up shoes, sneakers, boots and ankle boots.

From the choice of material (along with leather also natural rubber for particularly flexible outsoles), through design that follows Italian understanding of style, to the final polish, nothing is left to chance. The art of working with traditional shoemaking tools is passed on and applied with genuine know-how. Polished treatment with dye gives the fine smooth leather or suede of the shoes depth and movement.
