How did Allude for men come about?

Allude was founded by Andrea Karg, who established the label in Munich in 1993. From the very beginning, the spotlight has been on the remarkable quality of the cashmere. Ever since her childhood, the founder has taken pleasure in the feel of different fabrics and their construction. There was one material that Andrea Karg found particularly delightful: cashmere. Since then, this material has been at the heart of her work.

How do the sizes of Allude men’s jumpers, cardigans and knitted shirts fit?

When choosing your size, please select your usual size. If a product runs large or small, we will let you know in the product description. You can choose between a Regular Fit and a Slim Fit.

How should Allude textiles be cared for?

The garment should be washed after it has been worn about four times. Before that, simply airing the garment out in the fresh air is sufficient. You should allow the garment to rest for at least 24 hours between each wear. 

Where does Allude’s cashmere come from?

The material comes from the cashmere goat, which is found in the remote mountainous regions of Central Asia and the neighbouring border areas. Its grazing grounds are mainly in the Himalayas and their foothills, where conditions are extremely cold. The Allude cashmere yarn is made from the goat’s soft undercoat. It forms beneath the longer outer coat and is a response to these extremely cold conditions. The brand uses only the finest cashmere and pays close attention to the quality of the material.

How can the Allude Styles for men be mixed and matched?

For example, you could wear an Allude cardigan with a pair of fine-wool trousers and layer a coat over the top. For footwear, we recommend designer Chelsea boots for men. The outfit is finished off with a high-quality belt and a cap. Would you prefer to put together a look with a jumper? Then pair one of the brand’s half-zip jumpers with a cropped jacket, a pair of regular fit jeans and lace-up boots.

What does ‘Allude’ mean?

‘Allude’ comes from the English verb ‘to allude’ and literally means ‘to hint at something’, which the founder associates with cuddling, caressing or touching: “Several sensory dimensions that still complement cashmere perfectly to this day. The Allude typography from back then has hardly changed over time and still appeals to me just as much today as it did then – the lettering expresses everything that Allude stands for,” says Andrea Karg in “Andrea Karg über … den Markennamen Allude” (published on 9 March 2015).
