Sourced with the Utmost Care
In the icy cold of winter, the goats in the Nepalese mountains grow their ultra-soft, lightweight fine hair, whose insulating properties have been valued by humans for centuries. To achieve the highest quality of this precious natural fibre, the goats are combed once a year during their moulting season. Shearing would shorten the hair and make it harder to process. The longer the fibre, the finer, softer and more durable the resulting yarn.

Founded in Prato, Tuscany, in the late 1970s, Aida Barni is a true specialist in cashmere craftsmanship.
