The family-run company Fiorio was founded in Milan in 1946 and at the time was known primarily for their luxurious leather goods, until Signoria Fiorio created their first collection of small neckerchiefs. At the time, the silk from parachutes was used to create the first prototypes. After a successful start, she soon began searching for the most renowned designer in Paris and had the neckerchiefs made there. The high point of the company's success was when they began making their famous floral neckerchiefs in the seventies. Today, Fiorio stands for the best Italian craftsmanship and they stand out for their selection of prints and fabrics. The continuous desire for perfection made the detail-rich Fiorio ties famous. There is a thin layer of silk fabric that surrounds the inside of every tie. Each tie is pinned and then sewn by hand, and so every single one is a true piece of masterful tailoring. Aside from their ties and neckerchiefs, Fiorio also produces shoes, belts and beach wear.
