Young Berlin publisher Gestalten is all about the finer things in life: The focus in the early days was still on graphic design, but Gestalten has extended its range to cover all other areas of life that offer an aesthetic way of experiencing the world. Inspiring illustrated books on subjects such as architecture, design, fashion and typography, contemporary art, but also gastronomy, travel and business tell us about the many different aspects of modern people and their culture, in a vivid blaze of colour. They have helped Gestalten to become established as one of Germany’s leading publishers for the genres of photography, illustration and design – in English too. In 2014 the publisher welcomed a new arrival in the form of the children’s section Little Gestalten, whose colourful pictorial language is aimed at children and adolescents.
