Using knitting machines that were ahead of their time, the entrepreneur earned a national reputation long before his son, Roberto Collina, presented a small collection at the Pitti Uomo fashion fair in Italy in the 1980s. The collection of just ten men's jumpers impressed the international fashion world and global sales, including to the USA and Japan, grew from there.

In a unique collaboration with the Accademia Costume & Moda in Rome, the master's course in "Creative Knitwear Design" ensures that knitwear expertise will continue. Roberto Collina processes fine natural raw materials such as merino, cashmere, silk and cotton from season to season using traditional manufacturing techniques but also according to current standards and the latest understanding of fashion. The Roberto Collina team is constantly developing new ideas and designs to convey how varied fine knitwear can be.
