About the designer

CROMBIE - A TIMELESS CLASSIC EVOKING THE VERY BEST OF BRITISHNESS. The name Crombie has reflected British style for over 200 years, and is synonymous for the British traditional men's coat. The Crombie label ranks among the founding fathers of contemporary luxury brands. The company's roots reach back to the year 1805 – the year of the Battle of Trafalgar. John Crombie, son of a weaver and a weaver himself, founded his own weaving mill, which soon earned itself an excellent name. Cloth from the Crombie weaving mill became renowned for their good quality, and was sought-after by London's tailors. Generations of statesmen and (fashion) icons, including Winston Churchill, John F. Kennedy, Clarke Gable, Cary Grant, and even The Beatles carried the Crombie style across generations into modern times. Unrivalled quality, matchless design, and timeless elegance ensured that each new generation discovered the label once again. The company only uses the very best British and Italian materials, premium quality wool, and luxurious cashmere for the legendary menswear collection.
