About the designer

Sophisticated casualwear – the international denim fashion label Closed was founded in Italy in 1978. Despite headquarters having moved to Hamburg, most of their products are still made in Italy. The fashion label represents a contemporary and casual upper middle class style. The label made its name in jeans fashion using innovative designs and new techniques. The introduction of stone-washing, for that trendy casual denim look, for example, can be ascribed to this trend label. The current directors Gordon Giers, Hand Redlefsen, and Til Nadler met in the 1980s, became friends as well as business partners, and see their fashion company as a "family business" in the broadest sense of the word.
