About the designer

The British designer Neil Barrett, a native of Devon, South-East England, discovered his passion for fashion at an early age: his grandfather and great-grandfather were master tailors and connoisseurs of designer fashion. Barrett therefore went on to study at the Central Saint Martins School of Art and Design and the Royal College of Art in London. Right after graduation, Barrett went to work as Senior Men's Fashion Designer at Gucci. Five years later he went over to Prada, where he was significantly involved in the start of the Prada menswear collection. He greatly influenced the combination of luxurious fabrics with unrivalled Italian craftsmanship, high-tech sportswear, and a future-oriented vision for the label's contemporary and masculine fashion. These aspects also formed the basis for his own label Neil Barrett, which he founded in 1999. His style: minimalist, clear lines, luxurious details. The perfect combination of British cuts and masterful Italian craftsmanship has made his label popular around the world.
