Forum Award 2012
54th Forum of TextilWirtschaft
BRAUN HAMBURG awarded the Forum Award 2012!
What do the companies Louis Vuitton, Puma, G-Star, Marco Polo and personalities such as Renzo Rosso from Diesel, Tomas Maier from Bottega Veneta, Gerhard Weber from Gerry Weber as well as Karl-Heinz Müller from Bread & Butter have in common with the company BRAUN Hamburg? Since 9 May 2012, TextilWirtschaft's Forum Award. The award went to BRAUN Hamburg, along with owner and Managing Director Lars Braun at the ceremonies of TextilWirtschaft's Forum Award 2012. The Forum is the leading convention of the German textile industry, staged this year for the 54th time.
The gala awards ceremonies were held on 9 May in the Print Media Academy of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG in Heidelberg. The sponsorship awards of the Wilhelm Lorch Foundation for the industry's up-and-coming talent were also presented on that evening along with the Forum Award.
With this award, the jury recognised the development of BRAUN Hamburg. The company has continued to experience dynamic growth throughout several generations. It has been regenerated, expanded, modernised, and at the same time, it has ventured down new digital communications and sales paths. It has done so with great success and long-term customer loyalty in an environment of vastly-expanding mono-brand competition.
In addition, Lars Braun represents a successful change of generations which can be considered exemplary for owner-managed retail trade. He has the distinction of being the youngest laureate of TextilWirtschaft's Forum Award. The award went likewise to the affiliated company for exclusive designer fashion for women, UNGER Fashion.

The Forum is a TextilWirtschaft event, held in 2012 for the 54th time, originating back to 1959 when publisher Wilhelm Lorch staged TextilWirtschaft's first "Advertising Forum" – as it was called then – for the first time. Since that time, the Forum has developed into the leading convention of the German textile industry. The Forum gained its special significance above all by bringing together guests from trade, industry and related service sectors and covering a range of topics beyond the day's agenda. Each year at the Forum, the TextilWirtschaft's "Forum Awards" and the sponsorship awards of the Wilhelm Lorch Foundation are presented.
TextilWirtschaft's Forum Award symbolises an entrepreneurial or personal achievement with vast influence and sustained impact on the development of the textile industry. Laureates in past years included Louis Vuitton, Inditex, Puma, C&A, G-Star, Marc O'Polo and personalities such as Renzo Rosso from Diesel, Tomas Maier from Bottega Veneta, Gerhard Weber from Gerry Weber as well as Karl-Heinz Müller from Bread & Butter.
