About the designer

Dries van Noten was practically born with a passion and love for fashion. With his father being a men’s outfitter and his grandfather a tailor, the Belgian designer had the opportunity to visit international fashion capitals at a young age, learning about the trade and gathering countless impressions for his future creations. Dries van Noten along with Walter van Beirendonck, Ann Demeulemeester, Dirk Bikkembergs, Marina Yee and Dirk van Saene are the exceptionally talented Belgian designers who became known as the ‘Antwerp Six’ who graduated from their fashion studies at the prestigious ‘Antwerp’s Royal Academy of Fine Arts’ in the 1980s and impressed the international fashion industry with an exhibition at the London Fashion Week. The designer has a particular instinct about clothing, special fabrics and colours, subtle hints and virtuoso patterns.

TAKING MEASUREMENTS CORRECTLY FOR THE PERFECT FIT

Jacket

A = Back length

Measure the closed garment in the middle of the back from the nape seam, or the lowest seam of the neckband, straight down to the hem.

B = Chest measurement

Measure from the height of the chest line, slightly below the sleeve seam, straight from the left to the right side and then double the measurement.

C = Sleeve length

Lay the flat garment on a plane surface. Then measure straightly from the highest point of the sleeve down to the sleeve seam.

D = Shoulder width

The straightly measured distance from the nape seam to the sleeve seam.

E = Back width

Measure straight from the left side to the right side in the back, approximately on half of the sleeve height.
